Workshop Discounts & Other Policies

Early Registration Discount

Early Registration Discount. Register at least 21 days prior to the workshop and receive a $100 discount for our three-day survey workshop series! If registering for fewer than three days, we will prorate the discount.

Early registration discount can be earned in addition to the other discounts discussed below.

Early Payment Discount

Early Payment Discount. Complete payment at least 21 days prior to the workshop and receive a $100 discount for our three-day survey workshop series! If registering for fewer than three days, we will prorate the discount. (Please note "complet payment means the funds are in Great Brook's accounts. Providing a purchase order is not considered a completed payment.)

Early registration discount can be earned in addition to the other discounts discussed below.

Colleague Referral Discount

Multi-Colleague Discount. Perhaps a colleague in your company has attended one of our two- or three-day workshops (raving about it of course!), and you'd like to attend as well now that your survey program is in full swing. Get a referral from that colleague, and Great Brook will extend a discount as described below. The colleague discount also applies for colleagues concurrently attending one of our workshops.

The second person from the company receives $200 off the regular price.

The third person receives $300 off the regular price.

The fourth person receives $400 off the regular price.

The fifth person (and beyond) receives $500 off the regular price. With 5 or more people, consider having a Private Workshop delivered at your site. Contact us to discuss.

If the new registration is for fewer than 3 days of workshop attendance, then we will prorate the discount.

Return Attendance Discount

Previous Attendee Discount. Some people who have attended our workshops contact us later to say that their survey project got put on hold and now they need a refresher. Or, they've seen the listing of the new material we have added and would like to attend again. For previous attendees of one of our workshops, you can attend the same workshop days for a second (or third, hopefully not!) time at half price. Other discounts could be applied except for the Multi-Colleague Discount. Please contact us directly to make these special arrangements.

Survey Mentor & Survey Audit Discounts

In addition to our Survey Design & Data Analysis Workshops, Great Brook applies its survey expertise to survey projects for clients, delivering both complete survey projects and targeted consulting for critical aspects of a survey project. We offer discounts to clients who purchase a combination of our workshop and our higher level survey consulting products, in our Survey Mentor and Survey Audit suites of products.

If you attend the Workshop first and later decide to purchase those survey advisory services, we will apply the discounted amount to the purchase of those services. Workshop registrants also qualify for a 30% discount off the price of the Support Service Questionnaire Library.

Cancellation Policy

What if you have to cancel? If you cancel your registration with at least 14-days' notice, your registration fee will be refunded in full. Cancellations with 7 to 14 days' notice will be subject to a cancellation charge of up to $50 per day of workshop for which you were registered. Cancellations with 7 or fewer days' notice will be subject to a cancellation charge of up to $100 per day of workshop for which you were registered. (The charge would cover the cost of meals to which we've committed at the meeting venue and the cost of processing refunds, particularly on credit cards. Any cancellation charge assessed would be only to cover these costs.)

Can I transfer my registration? You can transfer your registration to a colleague or to a later workshop delivery, which would most likely avoid all the cancellation charges.

What if we have to cancel? If we should have to cancel the workshop due to an inadequate number of registrants -- which has never happened -- we will give registrants at least 14-days' notice. Under no circumstances will Great Brook be responsible for travel expenses or other expenses incurred by registrants.

Driving Interaction Between

Customer Support & Product Development

A unique area of Great Brook's expertise lies in Design For Supportability, which examines how the product design process can enhance the supportability of the product in the customer usage period of the life cycle. Better DFS practices deliver reduced Total Cost of Ownership and higher Net Benefit of Ownership. We have published a major DFS research report and now we will be delivering a worskhop to explain the principles as part of the AFSMI, SSPA, and TSPA Fall conference. The conference is at the Mirage Resort.

The Chicago area workshop will be held at the Hilton Indian Lakes Resort, 250 W Schick Road, Bloomingdale, IL 60108, (630) 529-0200. You'll find good directions from their web site. This is a very lovely, long-standing resort, which was fully renovated in 2003 an is now part of the Hilton chain, yet it is about 20 minutes from O'Hare airport. If you're a golfer or want some down-time at a spa, consider spending some extra time at the Resort. We have used this facility several times, and it has worked out wonderfully.

The workshops will be held from 8:30 am to 5 pm each day. The Data Analysis Workshop will end by 4 pm to help people catch evening flights home.

The Resort is about 20 minutes from O'Hare International Airport, but since it is about 5-10 minutes off interstate highways, it is also readily accessible from Midway. Cab fare from O'Hare should be around $25. The Resort has a relationship with A-1 Airport Limousine Service. Shared car to/from O'Hare is about $20/person and $48 to/from Midway. Call 800-354-5849.

For simplicity's sake, it would be simplest to stay at Indian Lakes (and get your Hilton points), but here are other nearby hotels found through Google Maps. Of course, there are many more hotels 5-10 miles away.

Our last workshops of 2008 will be held at the Forefront Conference Center 404 Wyman Street, Waltham, Mass. 02451, 781-290-2700. The Center is easy to find just off Route 128 (Interstate 95), about 15 miles west of Boston and 5 miles north of the Mass Pike (Interstate 90). Forefront is a very professional conference center that we have used for many events.

Boston's Logan Airport (BOS) is the closest airport -- about 30 minutes drive depending on traffic -- but if you prefer to use smaller regional airports -- as we do -- we recommend Manchester NH (MHT) or Providence RI (PVD), which are both just about an hour's drive but without the complications of driving to Logan. If you want to avoid having a car rental, Logan Airport has many options for transportation, including shared vans. Many local hotels listed below have complimentary shuttles to Forefront. From both MHT and PVD, you would need to have a car rental.
