Off the (Tour Coach) Beaten Path
Bridget's Well

On the R478 heading from Liscannor to the Cliffs of Moher, one of County Clare's well know tourist attractions, you'll pass a sign for Bridget's Well, right off the road with a cemetery behind it.  An encased statue faces the road and countryside behind which is the entrance to the well.  Locals viewed the well water as having curative powers.  The walls are linked with artifacts people have left in their prayers to be cured.  If you're not on a tight time schedule, it's worth a few minutes.
