Doonbeg Castle




Kilkee is a quiet small town north of Kilrush on the N67 between Kilkee and Milltown Maalbay.  If you're doing a coastal drive from Loop Head to northern County Clare (Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, etc.)  then you will pass through Doonbeg.  If you're traveling to Doonbeg directly from Kilrush, you will pass a small wind farm.  It's worth a quick stop to view this castle ruins, which in the center of the small town at the bridge.
